For July's Culinary Creation we reached out to Dave Delinko, owner of The Salad House of Somerville, and asked him to provide a summertime salad recipe that our readers could easily recreate at home.

The Piña Salada, featuring lightly-grilled pineapple cubes flavored with teriyaki sauce, is sure to be a fan favorite at your family's BBQ this summer! Pair it with a piña colada to make the afternoon a little more fun.
Ingredients:
Fresh Baby Spinach: 3.6 oz
Diced Red Onions: 1 oz
Sliced Almonds: 1/2 oz
Fresh Pineapple: 4 oz
Teriyaki Sauce: to taste
1/3 Avocado
Asian Sesame Ginger Dressing
In the Bowl:
- Combine spinach, onions, and almonds. Chop to preference.
- Transfer chopped ingredients to your bowl or plate.
On top of the bowl:
- Cut fresh pineapple into cubes.
- Lightly grill pineapple in teriyaki sauce.
- Top salad with grilled pineapple.
- Cut avocado into cubes and add on top of the pineapples.
Suggested dressing: Asian Sesame Ginger Dressing
Suggested add ons: Grilled teriyaki chicken or shrimp
