Q: Memorable vacations can be thoroughly planned, totally spontaneous or somewhere in between. Tell us about your most memorable recent holiday getaway, the location, who you were traveling with, the month/year you traveled, and why it was memorable.
A: Hands down, my most memorable vacation was our honeymoon to Italy in 2017. We flew into Florence, rented a car, spent the day in Siena, and then drove to Lupaia in Tuscany. Lupaia is a romantic hideaway near Montepulciano. From our room, the view of nearby villages, vineyards and olive groves was absolutely stunning. It was like looking at a painting. We did day trips to nearby towns including, Montepulciano, San Gimignanello and Montefollonico. The food was amazing, but we didn’t feel too guilty because we walked so much. We fell in love with Italy and are planning a return trip soon.
