Blend a Smoothie Favored by the Pros of Orangetheory Fitness

“I love making a smoothie after a workout,” says Mark Livolsi, owner of Orangetheory Fitness studios in Bedminster and Somerville. Livolsi mixes his favorite flavors—vanilla protein powder, frozen berries, avocado, banana and a scoop of peanut butter—for an ultimate, creamy mix of antioxidants to protect cells from exercise-induced damage and protein to repair muscle.

“Our workouts at Orangetheory Fitness produce results from the inside out, so eating healthy is very important. Being fit is 80 percent diet and 20 percent exercise. You may be able to run an all-out in class, but you can’t outrun a fork.”
