Lamborghini Urus SE Hybrid Offers Wild Ride

Supercar speed and electrification are two terms that normally don’t go together. But the new-for-2025 Urus SE from Lamborghini delivers the punchy performance for which the Italian luxury marque is known, while boasting eco-sensitivity.

The big story here is the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 gas engine is impressive on its own, making 611 hp and 590 lb.-ft of torque. Combine that with a 189-hp electric motor for peaks of nearly 800 hp and 700 lb.-ft of torque. This sporty SE can go from 0-to-124 mph in 11.2 seconds—1.3 seconds faster than the outgoing S.

The new SE also showcases a roster of cosmetic and tech upgrades, giving it a fresher, more modern appearance inside and out. The exterior facelift includes adaptive matrix LED headlamps; a power-dome hood; and restyled liftgate, bumpers, and diffusers. The interior remains classic Lambo, with jet-fighter design cues that bring "feel like a pilot" qualities to the cabin, including plush leather seating and a new large 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.

But despite its supercar heritage, the Urus SE is also a family vehicle at heart, with seating for up to five, and road trip-ready details such as generous door pockets, separate climate controls, and USB charging points.

The Urus comes in 16 standard base colors, with more than 100 custom shades available for an additional fee. Our test vehicle came in the hue Blu Uranus—a $13,384 upgrade. Additional upgrades included a panoramic roof ($3,354), 23-inch Galanthus rims in glossy black ($5,837), a Sportivo leather interior ($6,082), an interior cabin package ($8,113) and an advanced 3D Bang & Olufsen sound system ($7,468). The extensive list of options added more than $85,000 to the final purchase price.
