Angie’s Pool & Spa began in 1990, when Angie and her husband, Paul Lauth, started the business from their garage, passing out fliers and cleaning pools. Their dedication and hard work soon led to a small shop located off County Line and State Road 37, and eventually to the Greenwood location on Meridian Parke Drive and then on to a Franklin location. Today, the couple is joined by their daughter, Reva Long, who assists in managing the business, and their son-in-law, Colby Long, who helps with construction and designs pools using CAD (computer-aided design) software.
Thirty-six years later, customers in the greater Indianapolis area continue to choose Angie’s Pool & Spa for their inground pools, hot tubs, Big Green Egg grills plus accessories and pool maintenance needs. The family and team behind Angie’s is well known for outstanding customer service. Angie’s staff has more than 150 years of combined experience with pools and spas.
“We care deeply about the quality of relationships with our customers. Our goal is to have a customer for life, not one project,” explains Reva, director of administration. “Outstanding customer service begins with the initial meeting with the client and continues with pool care after pool construction is complete.”
Transparency and communication are maintained through an online portal, where customers can access documents, change orders and job reports in real time.
Customers are turning to pools to invest in their homes and the quality time they spend with their families and friends. “Many of our customers have kids, and are looking to install a pool in their backyard for family events and neighborhood gatherings,” Reva explains. “And, we're even seeing grandparents investing in pools to provide outdoor entertainment for their grandkids.”
Customers seem to love that, no matter which pool and features they design, the team at Angie’s is focused on precision and perfection. “Our team will obsess over 1/16 of an inch to make sure the installation is perfect,” Reva proudly says. “High-quality craftsmanship is a differentiator for us and a key reason why customers pick us to work on their pools.”
She explains that when hiring, they look for candidates with outdoor experience in landscaping, construction or pool maintenance, as well as a strong work ethic and reliability.
Another reason that Greenwood and Indianapolis-area residents choose to work with the Angie’s crew is its family-business ethos. “We're a small, local business dedicated to helping homeowners in the community enjoy each other in their backyards,” Reva says.
Reva reminds that they have online resources through which customers can learn about inground pool pricing and the differences in price ranges based on features they would like.
Advances in pool technology are drawing customers' attention. “Not only are customers wanting pools, but they're adding on the latest advancements to pools and the backyard pool landscapes,” Reva states.
Popular requested features include tanning and sun ledges with 2-3 inches of water upon pool entry.
Energy-efficient technology is leading the way, with variable-speed pumps reducing energy costs. And, customers want the latest LED lighting around the sun and tanning ledges. And, bubblers, which are small fountains built into the shallow zones of the pool and tanning ledges, are becoming popular, especially when they're lighted at night.
Hot tubs remain popular, and Angie’s has restocked both the Greenwood and Franklin store locations to give customers more choices.
Angie’s also offers pool and spa services for emergencies and maintenance, including spa draining and pool cleaning, as well as installations for vinyl liners, heaters, pumps and filters.

With 18 years inside the business, Reva Long started working in the pool and spa store doing customer carryouts. Now, as one of the leaders in the business, she says she's "grateful to work alongside both my parents and be part of the legacy they’ve cultivated together, my husband and I are proud to help grow it even further.”
