Ground Your Spirit
Each morning, I read the devotional Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence by Sarah Young. It quiets the anxiety, insecurity, and doubt I, admittedly, let settle into corners of my mind by filling me with truth, clarity, peace, and encouragement I need each day.
Surround yourself with words that lift, strengthen, and remind you who you are. Begin your day with truth, however you define it. A devotional, gratitude list, meditation, prayer, or affirmations can help reorient your heart and your mind.
Balance Your Body
For most of my life, kickboxing has been my favorite form of exercise. Over time, however, I realized my body was asking for more stability in the form of intentional movement, small muscle engagement, and a focus on whole-body restoration. Because of this, I added Pilates to my routine, and I will never look back. A stronger, more balanced version of me is in the works for 2026!
Ask yourself what your body is craving right now: strength, flexibility, rest, or something new. Choose one practice that honors what your body has been quietly asking for.
Establish a Nightly Ritual
My nighttime routine has become one of my greatest and simplest pleasures. For my female readers, I recommend choosing your favorite scented lotion or perfume, and allow yourself to indulge! Then, invest in pajamas that make you feel beautiful and actually wear them! Finally, don't forget those lips! They deserve some end-of-day love, as well. My personal favorites are below.
A nighttime ritual is a gift you give yourself and one you feel immediately.Create one small ritual, morning or night, that is meant only for you.
Protect the Moment
One of the most transformative shifts my family made in 2025 was adopting "Screen-Free Sundays." We put away our phones and tablets and move into a slower, more intentional rhythm. We cook together, play board games, and we get outside as much as the weather allows. Having a range of ages in my home has taught me to remember that they're only little for a moment, so we try to make the most of the time we have together.
Choose one weekly rhythm that brings your family closer. Start with a single activity or a simple meal together. Small shifts can create the biggest connections.
Be Intentional
My husband and I have always done weekly date nights. With work, kids, and the pace of everyday life, we try our best to be intentional about spending time together. Setting aside time to reconnect, laugh together, and simply enjoy each other’s company has continued to strengthen our relationship and smooths the big and little bumps we encounter along the way.
Choose one small moment this week to reconnect with your significant other without distractions, without agenda, just together.
Make Time for Friends
Mahjong nights with girlfriends became one of my favorite outlets in 2025! Time spent is filled with laughter, SNACKS, deep conversation, and the kind of renewal you can only get from being around friends who lift you up and choose to love and encourage you, even when you aren't on your A-game. Especially in busy seasons, these moments have fed me in ways I never even knew I needed.
Find a hobby that brings you closer to people who fill your soul. Whether it’s Mahjong, a book club, or a weekly coffee, choose something that brings joy and community.
