Tired of Dry Eyes, Blepharitis, Redness And Irritation?

James Rynerson, MD, is an ophthalmologist, educator and sought-after speaker who owns Dry Eye Center of Brentwood. He also holds a number of patents related to the treatment of blepharitis and dry eye, and is recognized as the U.S. eye doctor who discovered the root cause of those two conditions. He especially enjoys treating patients who have suffered for years with these chronic diseases. This doctor lives in Franklin with his wife and son.

Dry eye symptoms include blurry vision, eye pain, itchy or scratchy eyes, red eyes, eye watering and light sensitivity.

Look at how many ways through which the Dry Eye Center of Brentwood professionals can assist eye patients.

01

Dr. Rynerson's groundbreaking research on the cause of dry eyes is fully explained to clients so they finally understand what's going on with their eyes. As a leading expert in the treatment of dry eye and blepharitis disease, he lectures around the world to educate other doctors about the etiologies of these diseases, so they can be treated based on root causes.

02

Providing the most current, medically sound treatments, board-certified Dr. Rynerson says he maps out solutions that best provide relief from clients' suffering while working within budgets.

03

The Dry Eye Center of Brentwood staff helps prevent premature aging around patients' eyes. For eyes that are red and wet most of the time, this is inflammation (blepharitis) of lid margins causing irritation and excess tearing making one look old and tired, with premature wrinkling. Later, this inflammation will shut down tear glands and make eyelids sag and turn red. "You might say that biofilm removal is one of the secrets to the fountain of youth," assures Dr. Rynerson.

04

Dry Eye Center's specially trained specialists offer BlephEx as the lid debridement technique of choice. All treatments start with removing the years of biofilm accumulation from eyelids. This eliminates the source of dry eyes and blepharitis, and by removing its food source, can help get rid of demodex, which are tiny mites that live along eyelashes and cause itching, irritation and discomfort.

05

As experts in the dry eye field, this local vision health care team provides streamlined education and treatment processes.

06

The Dry Eye Center team removes the meibofilm (the biofilm mixed with diseased meibum) from meibomian glands. Dr. Rynerson says this step is critical to effectively treating blepharitis and dry eyes. "Doing so eliminates the inflammatory toxins that are being produced within the glands. We tailor a gland expression technique, working with Manual or ILux as choices," he adds.

07

This medical team soon will be moving from their current temporary location to their brand-new, state-of-the-art dry eye clinic on Seven Springs Way, with a grand opening slated during April. Watch for details regarding a celebratory community event.

08

Dry Eye Center of Brentwood appointments are available Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as Saturday and Sunday, also between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

09

Dr. Rynerson and his team will be launching an at-home treatment for dry eye disease for patients to use in the comfort of their homes, one that can help patients with their disease between treatments.

10

Other at-home steps to help extremely dry eyes include:  avoid air blowing in eyes; add moisture to the home's air; consider wearing wraparound sunglasses or other protective eyewear; take eye breaks away from all long tasks; position computer screens below eye level; and avoid smoke.
