Colleen Geery was inspired to start The Brightside Box by the endless support she received while undergoing treatment for cancer, including meals, house cleaning, shopping, taking care of her son, taking her to and from chemo and other appointments. All this gave Colleen the gift of being able to take time for herself to heal and recover.
She set out to pay that comfort and care forward to others. Originally, she curated items similar to those she found helpful during her treatments, pashmina wraps to cover chilly shoulders, cozy socks, calming tea and a gratitude journal, to name a few.
