As January is upon us, residents of Weld County and beyond may be approaching the age-old resolution that this will be the year they finally get healthy. Yet, if you’ve ever tried this before, you might’ve noticed there becomes a problem—finding and joining a gym; figuring out your ideal workout schedule; and planning unique workouts can be quite a task at the start of January! However, the trainers at Scientifically Oriented Athletic Regime (SOAR) have got the perfect solution for your resolution.

“Fitness isn’t a box—not everyone fits into coming to a gym, taking specific classes, or pursuing personal training,” Kyle Taplin, the co-owner and head trainer at SOAR, shares. “There are a variety of ways that people can meet their goals, and our hope is that online training can be one way that people can excel and enjoy training and staying healthy.”

That’s right. SOAR has partnered with the Trainerize app to offer customizable, at-home personal training regimes for both adults or athletes to pursue their fitness goals at home. This in-home personal training was born out of SOAR to offer more variety to both adults and athletes. The at-home training program was developed out of the recognition that some people’s fitness needs cannot be met in person at the gym.

“What we’ve found is that sometimes, people will try to workout on their own at home, and it just doesn’t stick as much as we hope,” Taplin says. “We print something out, stick with it for a few days or weeks, then miss a few days, and without accountability, it can fall by the wayside pretty quickly. Our program focuses on allowing for flexibility, accountability, and more affordable pricing for an at-home training option.”

To begin the process, reach out to SOAR via email or phone, and participate in an initial health consultation and functional assessment. After that, Kyle or one of the trainers will set you up on the Trainerize app, and begin to send you customized workouts based on your fitness goals—whether strength training, functional training, general athletic fitness (speed, power, agility) or weight loss. Higher subscriptions offer more features, but each person participating in the training will have access to accountability and feedback from the trainers at SOAR throughout the process.

For individuals looking to change up their fitness routine at the start of the new year, trainers at SOAR are happy to partner with those seeking an at-home alternative to healthy habits or to excel as an athlete in 2024 and beyond.

*Trainerize is available through SOAR or through Balance Health.
