Putting On Love

T-shirts and signs become symbols of hope and unity after the July 4th floods.

In the wake of the devastating July 4th floods, the Texas Hill Country has once again shown that its heart beats strongest in times of crisis. Across Boerne and surrounding communities, local businesses and individuals are stepping up—not just with words, but with action—demonstrating a powerful love for their neighbors.

One of the most visible ways this generosity is showing up? T-shirts and signs. These shirts aren’t just fabric; they’re symbols of hope and unity, proudly worn throughout the region. From boutiques to breweries, fitness studios to floral shops, each one tells a story of a community coming together.

At Branded J Boutique, 100% of proceeds from their “Texas Strong” shirts go directly to flood relief. Blume Haus Fine Flowers is doing the same with their “Hill Country Strong” tees and stickers, benefiting the Red Cross. Gunpowder & Cabernet, in partnership with Free Roam Brewing Co., has created a “Pray for Texas – Flood Relief” shirt, covering all costs so that every dollar raised supports those affected.

Meanwhile, wrestling royalty, the Von Erich family, has launched an "ISAIAH 43:2" shirt, donating all profits to families and first responders, many of whom are still recovering even as the headlines fade. And Tamara Strait is contributing 100% of proceeds from every shirt and sticker sold through the end of 2025 to support victims and emergency crews alike.

Not all generosity has come in the form of clothing. Matt and Kelly Mattingly, owners of Signarama, have made a tremendous impact through their donation and distribution of “Hill Country Strong” yard signs. Their work is now seen across the region as a visual statement of unity.

Whether big or small, these acts of kindness serve as visual reminders that the Hill Country’s strength is in its people.
