Main source of water and renewable and clean energy for the city of Boise, Luck Peak Dam is an artform in itself. For so many years I drove by without really looking closely. Stopping by with the family years ago to see the roster tail, I began to admire this earthen dam. Over the years it has been the source for a lot of photography projects. Visiting it many time through the years seeing and photographing all of the different seasons. This picture was taken in the fall, one of my favorites seasons here. The trees in the park below Lucky Peak are so vivid it looks like they are lit by the power from the Dam.
