A Dental Startup Opens With Vision Of Bringing Patients Outstanding Care Experiences

It'll be challenging not to smile while at Texas Smile Co. That's the promise of Texas natives Drs. Kyle and Caitlyn Poupart, who are the owners and dentists of a new dentistry practice just launched in Frisco.

Working with all ages of patients, Dr. Kyle says they are accustomed to seeing patients as young as six months of age. "Kids begin building familiarity of a dental office, and it gives us the chance to discuss teeth development with parents. We appreciate taking enough time to build trust and have relationships with patients so we all know each other personally. It also makes it nice to be able to discuss other things going on in our lives."

Dr. Caitlyn says they handle practically every aspect of dental care, including cavity prevention, regular cleanings, clear-line braces, crowns, root canals, bridges, implants, dentures and sedation options to help reduce stress or anxiety.

Both dentists have been practicing since 2015, after being accepted in a rigorous Early Admissions Dental Program that required them to complete their bachelor's degrees in biology in three years instead of the traditional four. Dr. Kyle earned his bachelor’s from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texa, and Dr. Caitlyn earned hers from The University of Texas at San Antonio. They then both attended the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio for Dental School, which is where they met each other. After dental school, they intentionally moved back to the DFW area.

Dentistry runs deep in this family. Dr. Caitlyn's mother is a dental hygienist, and Dr. Kyle's great uncle was a dentist.

In the spirit of being dedicated community supporters, the Pouparts are working with the regional nonprofit, ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship, to donate a portion of payments received at the dental office from new patients. The group assists children and adults with disabilities, as well as military veterans, to move beyond their boundaries through the healing power of the horse and the dedication of a professional, caring community. ManeGait is located on 24 acres in Collin County.

The Pouparts indicate they wanted to launch their own practice to create an environment that's built on personal relationships with patients. "We listen and take the time to hear your needs and work with you to select the right option for you and your family. This isn’t just a dental practice; this is a family, and we're honored to have you join us," says Dr. Kyle.
