Relics Breathes Life into Any Living Space

Relics Antique and Furnishing Consignment is home to European, indoor and outdoor antiques, ironwork and salvaged architectural pieces. Created by Tim Harris and his husband, Todd, this unique and longstanding antique store showcases hundreds of hand-selected items that allow customers to creatively mix and match to create the look and feel they hope to achieve in their homes.

Harris explains the ambiance at Relics is an eclectic array of items that encompass both modern and vintage design, which can be expertly intertwined to create fascinating vignettes.

"We need the functionality and comfort of new furnishings to meet the needs of the way we live in our homes today, but it’s important to round out interiors with the character, authenticity and quality of craftsmanship that only vintage and antique art and furnishings can bring."

At Relics, Harris and his team understand that shoppers seek a cleaner, comfortable and lighter look, especially in recently trending downsized interiors. The rush to seek items that translate to the scale and style of smaller spaces is easy to realize at Relics.

Collections of Spanish pottery are particularly useful, Harris explains, because various regions of Spain have extremely distinctive styling detail and collections of like types of pottery that can keep a space less stodgy.

"Our new shipment from Spain includes a fabulous collection of antique pottery, both for interior and the garden.  As I traveled through Spain choosing my pieces, I thought about the client seeking to accessorize with authenticity while keeping scale and budget in mind."

An extensive collection of signed Robert Kuo Japanese colorful Peking glass vases in all shapes and sizes is also a bold find when visiting Relics. This 17th Century technique bring an abstract accent to any room.

With the success of Relics in Phoenix, springs new life to a future location in Scottsdale, which is in the works for Harris this year.

"After learning the needs of a client and seeing their spaces, everything is delivered to the site. Pieces can be pulled in, arranged, layered and deleted, making it easier to make decisions." -Owner Tim Harris
