Spending time with family
Bringing people together
Building profound relationships with clients and friends
What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job? I love people! I have a genuine desire to save everyone from the anguish of loss -- or I should say the anguish of loss without adequate protection. Of course, I can’t keep loss from happening, but proper protection in place can literally keep someone from losing everything on an emotional, physical and a financial level.
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally? Spending time with my family, bringing people together, building profound relationships with clients and friends, and serving my community. I am very fortunate that most of my family lives here in the Treasure Valley. We are not only physically, but emotionally, very close. [My] family also shares my love of taking care of our community, so often we are together to work for others. We are a formidable force. That’s a proud moment for me!
Outside of work/profession, do you have skills or talents that most people do not know about? I wrote articles for magazines and was a correspondent of the year many years ago. I had a couple of poems in a local publication. I also ride a Harley. Yes, my own.
What are some causes you care about? I don’t know if you have enough room for that list. I’m most passionate about causes involving children such as Camp River Run and Giraffe Laugh. I announce often that I am saving the world one child at a time. However, there really is so much need that I find myself regularly supporting numerous wonderful causes.
Who is someone whom you admire, and why? I admire those who live their lives with honesty, compassion, kindness and integrity. Perhaps top of my list would be my spouse. His support and love has allowed me to become the person I am today.
