The Somerset County Park Commission recently challenged amateur photographers to “Show Us Your Best Shot” for its annual photo contest. This collection of winning images are a love letter to the county we call home, showcasing the wonder that exists just a short drive from our doors.
This year’s top entries are just a snapshot of the wonder of nature present in Central New Jersey. Somerset County alone offers over 300 square miles of landscapes, 14,000 acres of county-owned parkland, 8,000 acres of preserved farmland and 3,000 acres of greenways—so many places to explore!
