Santorini Homes Showcases Custom Arcadia Property

John Sebald founded Santorini Homes, Inc. in 2001 after years of experience in property acquisitions, entitlement and custom home building. John has continued to raise the bar in regard to the level of quality and attention to detail that building a luxury home entails. He has focused on building beautiful properties in established and sought-after neighborhoods.

"These areas provide large lots, terrific schools, family living and easy access to local amenities such as shopping and entertainment," John says.

He adds that as a Phoenix native, these neighborhoods are conducive to the lifestyle that he cherishes and strives to implement into all of his properties.

The Arcadia home pictured has a detached guest house with full accommodations and an auxiliary two-car garage. 5764 square feet in the main house and 599 in the guest house make for a total of 6,463 square feet of livable space.  A home built for family, friends, pets and entertaining, the great room boasts bi-folding doors which open onto a rear patio with breathtaking views of Camelback Mountain and adjoins with the impressive indoor/outdoor bar.

This home was a teardown of an older Arcadia home in a large cul-de-sac lot with equally spectacular views. John notes that they kept several large trees and vegetation that have been there for more than 60 years. A nod to the decor, John used reclaimed brick from an old Wisconsin farmhouse for exterior hardscape. There are now unobstructed views of Camelback Mountain, coupled with massive entertaining areas that include a sport court, fireplaces,  a firepit, barbecue and fountains.

"The architect, Mark Candelaria of Candelaria Design, was able to design a home with an east/west exposure yet focused all of the views north from the house onto Camelback Mountain from the interior of the home and rear yard," John says.

Born and raised in Phoenix, John holds a degree in real estate development and business and has a tremendous perspective on the way he believes homes should be built and how properties should be developed here in the Valley.

"I want to maintain the core purpose of a home and focus on family living. We're building a place where memories will be created and shared, so I approach each home as if it were a home for my own family."

Santorini Homes has earned numerous awards for its timeless homes that will seamlessly span generations, including an eight-time award from The Phoenix Business Journal for Top Custom Home Builder.

"Luxury, function and practicality is what I strive to provide," John says.
