Scott Stapp

Solo artist and the voice of Creed, Scott Stapp, rocks The Signal on March 14, debuting his new album Higher Power.

What excites you about this new album?

It's a diary of the human experience that a lot of people are going to connect with. It's also a very textured and layered album. It has some heavy-driven, mid-tempo grooving rock songs, but it also has some acoustic-driven songs and simple vocal guitar songs. There is something for everyone.

What is the catalyst behind the title track, Higher Power?

My whole life, whether I was living in alignment with God or not, God was always there and at the forefront of my mind. Now, trying to live a life of sobriety and in recovery, that song really chronicles part of my journey to get to that place, what got me there, and expressing that parts of me had to die in order for me to live.

What would you love readers to know?

If they're coming to the show, they can expect a very high-energy and profound journey sonically, musically, and thematically. I think it's a show that they'll remember.
