Second Homes Offer a Change in Lifestyle

The Gulf Coast is a Popular Destination

Living in Boerne in the Texas Hill Country is really special; however, sometimes we need a change of Texas scenery. From hills and cedar to sand and surf, the Ayyads found just the right second home to enjoy when they need to feel the warm waters of the Gulf.

Their realtor, Dana Kisel found an 1,100 square foot bungalow built in the 1950s, surrounded by majestic oaks, and saw the potential. They are remodeling and replacing the roof, flooring, air conditioner and painting the outside with coastal colors of white and turquoise. Located in the heart of Fulton and two blocks from Aransas Bay, it is near restaurants and a seaside park in Fulton Harbor.

The Ayyads are looking forward to spending time in their vacation spot, complete with fishing, water sports and fun in the sand. The four children, ranging in age from eight to three love the water.

Sammy grew up near the water in Venezuela and is happy to get back to it. He is married and is a service director at Cavendar Toyota. An added benefit will be to lease the furnished house as an AirBnB when the family isn’t enjoying living in it.

The expectation is that the home’s renovations will be completed in April. I might have to look into renting it for a long weekend! There are interesting sites in the area which are great for bird-watching as well as enjoying the Gulf breezes.
