Semmelmann Interiors® is owned and operated by a distinguished, innovative designer with a passion for capturing the dreams and visions of clients and crafting them into a beautiful reality.
Susan Semmelmann has been in the construction and design world for 25 years and understands that home is where the heart is. She and her team are uniquely talented in creating one-of-a-kind designs.
“Your home is about you, your lifestyle and what you want to feel when you’re in your happy place,” she says.
There are many reasons why Semmelmann Interiors® is unique. Unlike many other firms, the company creates everything in-house, working directly with manufacturers to import fabrics, manufacture furniture, bedding and upholstery, even creating their own framing. Semmelmann is strong in the lighting industry, carrying about 30 different lighting lines.
“We even manufacture our own florals at incredible pricing,” Susan says.
Semmelmann’s team of 28 includes technical staff, interior designers, seamstresses, freight and logistics personnel – “all the people who can turnkey a process,” she notes. “Each brings a unique ability, incredible talent and experience.”
Company values emphasize “the spirit of living is in the giving,” relationships, experts with excellence, an attitude of gratitude, and “fingers in the dirt,” meaning the team is comprised of “doers” with a high work ethic, initiative, a hunger for achievement and the perspective that nothing is beneath them. They are committed to doing whatever it takes to create a beautiful, soothing home environment suited to each client.
A huge part of the company culture is also in giving back to the community.
“We donate to many charities because we believe there’s always something for everyone,” Susan says.
The majority of clients are seeking new build consultations.
“We feel honored that clients trust us to create something they’ve never seen before that fully embraces their lifestyle and preferences,” Susan says. “It’s all about what the client wants, and the joy is in finding that fit and executing that vision.”
Many clients are ready for an all new look.
“Styles have changed over the last decade. Designs have gone cleaner. Less is more, and people love the freshness of going lighter and more soothing,” Susan says. “Of course, there’s also a sentimental value to keeping certain things, and we make that work as well.”
Styles can range from monochromatic to very colorful, depending on where the client wants to go.
Susan and her team love making people happy and being able to “wow” clients while giving them an incredible experience along the way.
The company – which serves Southlake, Westlake and the surrounding Metroplex - recently opened a new, 10,000 sq. ft. boutique design center in Fort Worth, at 4374 W. Vickery Blvd.
You can visit the design center Mondays through Fridays, with consultations arranged by appointment.
