Eric Becker, founder/president: "Mankind is a grassroots organization started in 2009 when my father-in-law was diagnosed with prostate cancer. We were devastated because we didn't know much about it. After doing research, we noticed men get prostate cancer six times more than women get breast cancer, yet there's no awareness, no blue ribbons, no blue-colored airplanes. We also noticed if prostate cancer is detected early, there's a high recovery rate, so we felt we needed to spread the word. We're an all-volunteer board, and more than 95% of our funds help men in need during a health crisis and awareness for men's health. We currently only have one chapter but serve the entire United States."
ARE THERE OTHER TEXAS SUBGROUPS?
"The only group we have is in North Texas, but we do look forward to getting more chapters in Texas and Oklahoma."

"Mankind has held some annual golf fundraisers in Frisco and supported Frisco residents with our mission execution funds. In 2019, we held a karaoke fundraiser at Frisco Bar to help “Coach” Kevin Paul overcome stage 4 cancer. He has since had a complete 100% remission and recovery."
