The PARK Wine & Spirits, at 11410 Via Varra in Broomfield, has made its mark since its doors opened in May of 2020. You’ll find a selection of both local libations and brands that even out-of-towners will recognize. The shop also features a beautifully built tasting bar that serves up beer, wine & spirits samples from 4-7pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
Owner Mari Ann James has shared a classic cocktail recipe (with a few variations!) that is just as light and refreshing as our Colorado sunshine.
The PARK Mule
Felene Coconut-Lime flavored vodka
Ice
Ginger beer (Mari Ann’s go-to is Cock & Bull for its strong ginger flavor, but you also can’t go wrong with the Fever Tree or Goslings brands!)
Fresh lime
Directions:

Fill copper mug with ice, then add 2 oz. vodka

Top with ginger beer and squeeze in half of a lime. Go ahead and toss that lime right into your mug!

Mule variations
The copper mug is a must, as it increases the carbonation from the ginger beer, and boosts both aroma and the flavor profile from the vodka or spirit substitute

Mexican mule: sub vodka for tequila

Kentucky mule: use your favorite bourbon instead of vodka

Gin-gin mule: muddle a few mint leaves with simple syrup at the bottom; sub vodka with gin

Mocktail mule: just as delicious without the added spirits
The PARK Wine & Spirits has a welcoming atmosphere and staff in place to help enhance your experience. Mari Ann and her husband, Vince, have a great set of team members who will always greet you at the door and are happy to help make recommendations. Taylor, the James’ Sheepadoodle, can often be found doing quality control and brightening his patrons’ days. Taylor is the official PARK Wine & Spirits shop dog and HDIC- Head Dog in Charge.
