Shelter Comes in Many Forms

Elevated Roofing Crew Gives Back to Community

Having dependable shelter of various kinds is one of life's vital components. Employees of Frisco-based Elevated Roofing company have the privilege to witness the joy of providing shelter to others, both physically and spiritually, every day.

For 20-plus years, trustworthy experts at Elevated Roofing have handled residential and commercial projects. They provide free roof inspections, roof repairs, roof replacements and storm or hail damage repair to those in need. However, Mike Witte and Randy Hughes, Elevated Roofing's owner and president, don't stop at roofs when clients' buildings and homes have been damaged by storms. Through an extended team of subcontractors, Elevated Roofing also can repair or replace gutters, painting, screens, windows and fences. They also can guide or assist navigating through insurance mazes for home insurance claims.

The company's quality work and dedication to customer service frequently get noticed, too. During 2018, Elevated Roofing earned a spot on the 2018 Top 100 Contractors List compiled by Roofing Contractor Magazine.

Elevated Roofing is licensed or certified by these organizations: Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, North Texas Roofing Contractors Association, General Aniline and Film (GAF), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Additionally, it belongs to a handful of the region's chambers of commerce.

A giving thread also runs through the company regarding case-by-case pro bono projects, such as recently replacing a roof for a food pantry.

Throughout each year, Elevated Roofing supports area charities and nonprofit groups in need.

"We believe in giving back to the community and making a difference both locally and globally," Mike says.

Complimenting the underlying themes of selflessness, gratitude and community-wide support that carries this time of year, the following are examples of the entities supported by Elevated Roofing teams.

"Our work with local charities is part of our mission to build and uplift the community. We're proud to support and to volunteer as a team. We encourage our employees to donate their talents to other causes that are close to their hearts," Randy explains.

Additionally, Elevated Roofing supports Roofs for Troops, a program that provides roofing-system rebates to active members, veterans and retirees of the U.S. military, as well as Life Unlimited Food Pantry.

Less than a year later, it moved to Acker Elementary School until opening doors to a location at 6890 Main St. in downtown Frisco. Not long after, the Bob and Joy Darling Branch was opened at 6726 Main St., also in downtown Frisco. For several years, this location served approximately 300 to 500 children per day. Children crowded around the floor to soak up the motivation and teaching that came from staff members. They moved pool tables and foosball tables every day to set up tables to enjoy a hot meal. The Frisco club moved again in 2008 and now serves nearly twice as many children.
