2010 BMW 550 is Perfection

This BMW traveled 2,500 miles to meet Richard Lin, owner of Show Car Perfection in Anaheim, to receive a proud makeover. The owner purchased the vehicle and had it shipped to Show Car Perfection from the salty air of Hawaii, an unbelievable journey worthy of a thousand photos, with the intent of restoring it to its original showroom beauty in Anaheim.

The first task was to remove the protective wrap and assess the condition of the paint. It was discovered that the front and rear bumpers were in bad shape and needed repair or possibly replacement. The door handles were missing a clear coat, and several panels on the car had previously been repainted very poorly.

It was decided to replace the bumpers with new OEM bumpers from Jacksonville, Florida, then paint them to match the existing paint. All exterior plastics were restored with Lin’s very own product called Black WOW Pro Trim Restorer. Twenty dents were removed from around the entirety of the vehicle using Paintless Dent Removal. The paint was then corrected by compounding and polishing, and sometimes sanding, to match the texture precisely.

Finally, the paint was coated with a top-of-the-line Nano Ceramic coating called CS-II Titanium, a protective coating for automotive surfaces promoted as "the finest automotive titanium coating on the planet."

Following restoration in Anaheim, this black beautiful classic BMW was driven home by its owner, up the coast 1,200 miles to Washington, to show off to his family, friends and, of course, grandma!
