Signor Vineyards on Orange Street

New in-town location

Nestled in downtown Fredericksburg awaits the newest elevated wine experience fused with a historical landmark. The Patton Home, located at 107 North Orange Avenue, is now intertwined with the elegant landscape charm of Signor Vineyards, a signature essence also found on US Highway 290.

The Patton Home, a four-room limestone house built in 1880, housed Fredericksburg business leader Albert Lee Patton and his family's descendants until it sold in 1976. It now entails an intimate food and wine experience led by the talented Signor chef and sommelier team.

The parlor welcomes diners with a perfectly appointed historic flair of antiques and chandeliers. Each room offers exquisite service by trained professionals. Yet, if wanting their signature outdoor experience, the courtyard shines in grandeur with a perfectly landscaped ambiance crafted by Clay Signor, entrepreneur and owner of Signor Vineyards.

"My passion for landscaping stems from the long history of my family's Texas history,” said Signor. “I was groomed by my great-grandfather, Edward Teas, a nationally renowned horticulturist and arborist. Mr. Teas and company planted over a million of the glorious oak trees that still define the look and feel of Houston and Austin".

What captures my sommelier eye is the careful attention to an elevated experience. Not only can one taste award-winning wines from Texas and Oregon, but guests are guided through food and wine explorations led by trained sommeliers. Expect artisan wines paired with seasonal flatbreads and fabulous charcuterie boards, all surrounded by the Patton House’s rich history.

Recommended Wines

The 2023 Signor Vineyards "Rogue Valley" Grenache Rosé is a delicate expression of grenache with perfect balance of lovely raspberry fruit, bright acidity, and restraining alcohol.

The 2023 Signor Vineyards “Frieson Vineyard” Cabernet Franc, Texas High Plains is a blockbuster, loaded with power, yet elegant in texture. The aroma is packed with layers of blueberries, sensuous violets and black cherries. Tannins are built for aging, although seamless when drank early. The finish is long and expansive with integrated French oak that guides the palate throughout.
