Counting down the days until spring cleaning? Are you dreading the big clean? Looking for help with a mess that has accumulated throughout the year? Then consider Simplify615’s organizational prowess.

Lauren Thurman and Courtney Fraser-Mason are business partners and friends. They founded Simplify615 in the wake of COVID-19 sparked by an interest in how people were using their homes in new ways and the need to maximize space. Their mutual love for organizing and helping others inspired them to embark on this new professional direction.

Simplify615 is a home organizing business based in Brentwood that serves the Greater Nashville area. Their team helps organize people’s busy lifestyles by bringing them order in their most inhabited spaces. They are ready to help you tackle even your most challenging spaces: pantry, kitchen, bathroom, closets, office, garage, kids’ playrooms, and storage areas.

They will initially meet with you for a consultation to assess the mess and to create a plan that will best serve you and your budget. After you make a game plan, the first step to a successfully organized space starts with editing down items and keeping things that you need and love. Letting go of things that are no longer serving you creates space to enjoy the things that mean the most to you.

Editing items is followed by categorizing them. This means “like goes with like” and creating sections in each project like a pantry or closet. Pro tip: Don’t forget the labels! Each item has an identifiable home which gives you a clear and productive way to store and access your household items. Your items are then beautifully contained using baskets and containers curated just for you!

Lastly, they wrap up a project by adding finishing touches. Maybe hanging those paintings and photographs that have been lying against the wall, waiting to be admired but collecting dust.

Thurman and Fraser-Mason have been touched by the impact this process seems to have on so many of their clients. For many, it seems to be a daunting task to tackle the clutter that has built up due to a variety of life circumstances. Simplify615 brings a non-judgmental approach to meeting clients where they are and walking them step by step through the process. They find it most rewarding hearing from clients about how much weight has been lifted from their lives, bringing them a feeling of freedom and peace. Consider home organizing an investment in yourself!

Two months ago, the Simplify615 team started 2024 with a “No New Things” January challenge! This means not buying anything new and promoting reusing and recycling items. The purpose is to create mindfulness in what you bring into your home (hitting clutter where it starts) as well as appreciating the things you already have. You can try it for a month or a year depending on your level of commitment. Don’t worry, this doesn’t include needs or experiences like concerts, football games, or museum visits!

Whether you need the organizing yourself or know someone who does, you might consider gifting these ladies’ talents to those people in your life. If someone needs some structure for the mess but can’t do it themselves or doesn’t have the time, send them some help as a gift!

This team of four moms has a loyal following on Instagram where you can check out their miracle makeovers.

“We all have a chaotic space and that’s okay,” says Fraser-Mason. “Simplify your life. It frees you up!”

Many of us have a junk drawer that needs addressing…or a room...or two…
