Over the last few years, Two Brothers Winery has served as a place to gather, not only to enjoy local wines, but to nosh on high-end small bites, listen to live music, and relax with loved ones. This summer, the winery continues to offer opportunities to connect with old friends and meet new ones through a variety of special events and activities.
One of these fun occasions that excites co-owner Donna Kirkwood the most is the winery’s annual Christmas in July celebration.
“This year, we are making it a full month-long event. We will have specialty drinks each week and are also bringing back our Christmas Cheer wine for the month of July. It's a cranberry Syrah that is on the sweeter side that people really enjoy during the holidays,” she said.
“My favorite part about the Christmas wine is that my husband created a set of labels a couple years ago that represent the Christ story, starting with the birth of Christ and the Wise Men. On the back of each label, it tells a little bit about that portion of the story that leads to Jesus turning water into wine.”
Other events at the winery include live music on Thursdays and some Saturdays, monthly BINGO nights, and themed trivia nights created out of a partnership with the Keller Library.
“It has been a lot of fun to see people come in and work together by participating in Trivia Night,” shared Kirkwood. “They meet new people because they are sitting at the same table and are building friendships. I love that the library is doing events like this by partnering with small businesses.”
For those interested in a more in-depth wine experience, Two Brothers Winery offers a Wine Club. In addition to retail savings on wine, the club meets quarterly for a special weekend event that runs from Friday through Sunday.
“We provide food and live music for the weekends,” said Kirkwood. “It’s great to get to see all of our members. They are able to come in, bring their one guest with them, have a glass of wine, eat food, and just come and enjoy a little bit of time at the winery.”
The winery also offers a special area called the Fermentation Room that is available for private gatherings and celebrations. The room is perfect for customers looking for a more intimate experience with family and friends.
“The room comfortably seats about 32 people,” Kirkwood explained. “We've hosted birthday parties, small wedding parties, and even groups who just want a place to be able to come play games. We've also worked with nonprofit organizations to provide a place for their meetings.”
Recently, Two Brothers Winery expanded the menu to include the return of their delicious flatbread pizzas. Now, in addition to enjoying wine with appetizers and charcuterie boards, customers can have a culinary experience with dinner, as well.
“We want to be a place where couples can come and enjoy a nice evening together,” Kirkwood said. “We also have a dog-friendly patio and a family-friendly environment where kids are welcome, which may not be something everyone knows. We’re not a bar, so we don’t have an age requirement and we’re happy to make the kids a cheese pizza so that everyone can enjoy the night.”
