Murals transform boring, blank walls into vibrant public art. Our city’s talented muralists continue to amaze us with new murals year after year for tourists and locals alike to enjoy. Franklin’s largest mural features four native Franklin flowers in front of the newly-built community Avondale Cottages. Local artist Michael Cooper and his team at Murals & More, LLC just finished the colorful “Not Your Average Wallflowers” mural in November 2021, which required scaffolding seven stories high. So get out, get some fresh air and spend the day with friends or family going on a mural “scavenger hunt" and snap some Instagrammable photos.
