Starting a New Year is a perfect time to start new skin health practices.
Carol Anderson, RN, CANS, owner of Nouveau MedSpa in Kirkwood, says fresh, radiant skin is within reach for all by focusing on one's health, realistic care approaches and achievable timelines for changes. "While we repair what's on the physical surface of skin, the rest of our job is to help stimulate your body to remember what it was designed to do, so it can help repair itself as well. By looking at your whole body, and whole health, we can address your whole beauty for optimal results," she explains.
"Skin is an excellent storyteller of what's going on in our bodies," adds Carol, who emphasizes a "wholistic" wellness approach to what she calls functional beauty.
"Assessing clients' skin is like performing a ‘body reading,' as a look into the core of their health and wellness concerns. Healthy cells vibrate at a higher frequency; so the more vibrant you are, the more beautiful you are. That's the science behind the concept of having 'that healthy skin glow' we all recognize," she says.
Carol and her team of professionals offer traditional medical spa services, including neurotoxins, fillers, Sculptra Aesthetic treatment to help replenish lost collagen, PRP (platelet-rich plasma) procedures, broadband light therapy and other laser treatments. She says Nouveau completes beauty and wellness with massage therapy, IV wellness therapy, facials and skin care products, in addition to other age-defying aesthetic treatments.
Three new Nouveau MedSpa offerings are available beginning in 2021. Each are designed to help people live more vibrantly:
- An in-person class, limited to five participants, called Breathe. It's a once weekly session that teaches how to practice breathing techniques to reground and settle one's system while under stress. Beginning yoga poses to instill body flexibility and mindfulness exercises to encourage living a life of gratitude also will be part of the class.
- Customized Massage to realign body energy, in 60- or 90-minute sessions.
- Wellness Assessments with a family nurse practitioner certified in functional medicine to discuss hormonal rebalancing, natural supplements, nutritional choices and family health history considerations. The goal is always to live well as long as we live, Carol says.
The Nouveau team practices safety measures, per COVID-19 guidelines.
"Our goal is to facilitate living vibrantly and living beautifully in a wholistic manner. We value our clients as friends and family, and we intend to create health, beauty and joy in their lives,“ assures Carol.
