Slip into Something New

Carrie’s Bridal Designs is a bride’s best friend, offering size-inclusive original designs in an affordable, off-the-rack business model.

Carrie’s Bridal Collection opened its doors in 2017, bringing inclusive, in-house bridal designs to Chamblee. These off-the-rack offerings are designed with making magical memories in mind. With sizes running the gamut from 00-31 and prices below $1800, this female-owned local bridal shop is truly for everyone.

Walking in, you’re enveloped in a soft, wildflower scent while love songs play overhead and champagne is at the ready. A front cabinet showcases sparkling jewelry and accessories, perfect for your wedding day, rehearsal dinner, and even bachelorette events. Their stunning original gowns line the walls, a sensory wonderland of crisp crepe, dazzling lace, and everything in between, overflowing with bridal elegance.

It’s a space dedicated to imbuing every bride with confidence. The ability to walk through the door with dreams of your perfect dress in your mind and to walk out with it in your hands is their daily mission.

Each stylist strives for the fortuitous moment when a bride finds her dress, eyes shining, heart racing, and genuinely picturing herself at the altar. It’s a moment many of us dream of from childhood on. Wedding planning is a whirlwind, and Carrie’s Bridal Collection endeavors to be a refuge of luxurious serenity and pure excitement.

In an oversaturated wedding industry, Carrie’s Bridal Collection stands apart. Variety is promised in the dress selection, with a wide range of silhouettes, necklines, and fabrics offered. One of the standouts of their business model is the ability to tailor any of their designs to the bride’s wishes. For example, if someone adores a certain dress but would prefer satin instead of lace, Carrie’s Bridal Collection can make that happen. This grants the opportunity for a custom dress without the custom price tag.

Each gown is one of a kind - made only once in one size, ensuring absolute originality. The bridal industry is constantly changing, so their designs evolve with each season, while also maintaining classical designs dripping in timelessness. Their dresses are shown at America’s Mart bridal expo with every new line. Fall 2025 will be released soon!

Founder and Owner Carrie Huyett began her journey at Winnie Couture Bridal, where she worked as their Sales and Operations Manager for five years. Her father, an entrepreneur in the trucking industry, flew out to China with her once she was ready to start her own company. There, they partnered with a factory and began wholesaling wedding dresses.

Shortly after, a friend of Carrie’s was closing down her own shop and asked for some of Carrie’s dresses for an upcoming weekend sale. Afterwards, she enthusiastically encouraged Carrie to open a brick-and-mortar store because all of her dresses sold out in one day!

Carrie’s Bridal Collection opened in October of 2011 on Broad Street. Carrie, a Tucker High School graduate, grew up in the area and was drawn to opening her first shop in Chamblee, amidst the bustling business scene. The close-knit, community feel of the Chamblee business is prevalent.

Chamblee Tap and Market, across the street, offers 10% off coffee orders for Carrie’s Bridal Collection brides and their groups. That type of collective camaraderie filters into the loving, supportive vibes of the shop, where comfort and confidence can easily flourish.

To help a bride find her ideal dress, it’s all about listening. Even when someone doesn’t have a clear vision in mind, tuning into what they don’t want is just as valuable. Being attentive and asking the right questions helps each stylist gain the knowledge they need to curate choices. Stylists handpick pieces like they’re putting together a puzzle; as each dress and element preferences comes to light (yes to a mermaid fit, no to a sweetheart neckline, etc.), the perfect dress eventually falls into place with ease.

Kayla Lesane, social media marketing manager and bridal stylist, shares a story of a bride finding her dress, which stuck with her.

The sweet woman came in on a Wednesday and was getting married that very Sunday. They had just gotten engaged and were planning a lightning-fast elopement in their backyard. She found her dream dress (a fitted, clean number with an open back, crisscross spaghetti straps, and minimal train) a mere four days before the wedding. She was surprised to find her dress in such a synchronistic way at her very first stop.

It’s stories like this that have created Carrie’s Bridal Collection’s formidable reputation. Brides flock to the store, even from out of state, through word of mouth and their stellar social media presence. When it comes to something as personal as one’s wedding dress, authentic anecdotes cultivate a sense of trust, which helps maximize the shop’s impact.
