The ultimate immune boosting smoothie.

A new year is here, and health is on the forefront of all our minds. This easy, quick smoothie brings some powerhouse ingredients that can be found in your local grocery store’s freezer section, and a couple local ingredients to enhance your immune system. All found within a stones throw, these components are antioxidant packed and prevention of sickness and colds are the lasting benefit. Make after a work out, or before a big gathering, this smoothie brings taste and health advantages to the table.

Ingredients:

1 banana

½ cup frozen acai

½ cup frozen pink dragon fruit

¼ cup frozen blueberries

1 orange, squeezed

1 tbs. Elderberry Lady Elderberry Syrup

1 cup orange juice from Queen Creek Backyard Orchard

Ice

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender, fill with ice to the top and mix with the blender until preferred consistency. For a creamy twist, add 1/3 cup coconut milk.
