Sofia Elaine combines two middle names—one belonging to Erica and the other to her mother—woven together as a tribute to their unbreakable bond. “It felt like the most beautiful way to honor the connection we share,” Erica says. “My mom has always been my biggest inspiration, and this name keeps that love and strength at the heart of everything we do.”

After years of working independently in different salons, Erica began to imagine something more—a space where stylists could create, grow, and feel supported. “I learned that hiring for character and training for skill is everything,” she says. “Talent matters, but so do drive, customer service, and teamwork. When those qualities come together, the culture thrives.”
Her team is proof of that philosophy. Each artist brings unique skill and heart to the salon, working together with a shared sense of purpose. “We focus on quality over quantity,” Erica explains. “In the early days, our small team worked long hours to build a solid foundation. Now, if one artist gets sick or has a family emergency, the rest of the team steps in without hesitation. That’s what family does.” Clients can feel that loyalty and warmth the moment they sit down. The laughter is genuine, the energy contagious, and the service personal in every way.
The same thoughtful care extends to their guests. Sofia Elaine Salon was recently recognized as a L’Oréal Black Elite Salon, the highest distinction within the brand’s network. Growth never stops here.”
The salon’s impact reaches beyond its walls. Sofia Elaine Salon sponsors local baseball, cheer, and lacrosse teams, along with school organizations throughout the community. They also partner with charities close to their hearts, donating to events through the Trophy Club Ladies Golf Association and supporting Ally’s Wish, a nonprofit creating memories for women battling terminal cancer. “Giving back is part of who we are,” Erica says. “Our clients are our neighbors and friends, so when they give to the community, we give right alongside them.”

Looking ahead, Sofia Elaine Salon is preparing to celebrate its fifth anniversary in February 2026, and the team shows no signs of slowing down. Erica plans to send several stylists to the L’Oréal Artist Academy on both coasts for advanced training and continue building her team of rising artists. “We’ve built something really special here,” she says softly. “Our clients can feel it when they walk in, and our team feels it every day.”
