Sophisticated Senior Living

The highly Anticipated Clarendale Arcadia Opens This Fall

When Stefanie Smith, executive director at Clarendale Arcadia, is asked about her favorite feature of the new senior residences, she has to pause before answering.

“This is a challenging question as I love everything about our community,” she says.

Located in the Camelback Corridor, close to both Arcadia and Paradise Valley, Clarendale Arcadia senior residences offer metropolitan living with boutique hotel-style amenities and top-notch hospitality services.

While new residents don’t move in until the fall, Clarendale Arcadia has an information center near the building site that provides potential residents with a preview of what life will be like here. Prospective residents can also reserve specific apartments as leasing is in full swing.

“The old adage ‘location, location, location’ is a major draw for Clarendale Arcadia,” Smith says. “There is nothing like us in the immediate area—luxury senior living as a rental, not buy-in or life-plan. The gorgeous mountain and cityscape views are stellar, and with five levels and multiple one- and two-bedroom floor plans, there are many options. Our outdoor amenity spaces are modern, inviting, and spacious. We offer independent living, assisted living and memory care, which will allow our residents to move through this continuum as their lifestyle and care needs dictate.”

In addition to offering a variety of living options, residences at Clarendale Arcadia are spacious and feature pendant lights, quartz countertops, soft-close drawers and cabinets, GE stainless steel appliances, and luxury vinyl plank flooring, among many other amenities, Smith notes.

“All but a few independent living residences have balconies, with some that are quite expansive,” she adds. “Some of our assisted living residences offer balconies, as well.”

She continues by sharing that, “Clarendale Arcadia is less than a mile from luxury shopping and dining, entertainment venues, and golf. The Copper and Sunset Terraces that make up our second-level amenity deck have such a luxury resort feel—I can’t wait for our residents to enjoy time by the heated pool, yoga in our outdoor fitness area, or test their skill on the putting green. We are a pet-friendly community, and as dog lover myself, our dog park is another of my favorite features. I would be completely remiss if I didn’t mention our Mountain Vista Community Room on the fifth floor—this is a fantastic common/multi-use space with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase views of Camelback Mountain, Mummy Mountain, and Piestewa Peak.”

Spanning six acres southeast of 32nd Street and Camelback Road, Smith believes that Clarendale Arcadia is an ideal option for local seniors.

“This part of the Valley is so vibrant, with people in their 70s and beyond maintaining active lifestyles,” she says. “We felt there was an unmet need for luxury senior living, on a rental basis, that will allow this lifestyle to continue, while taking the hassle of homeownership and maintenance out of the equation yet adding a strong continuum of care and services.”
