The Detroit Crime Commission, founded in 2011, is an independent, nonprofit organization that works collaboratively with residents and community leaders to create safe communities for all citizens to, live, learn, and work. This is achieved by utilizing trained intelligence analysts and leading-edge software to prevent, identify and report violence related to gangs, human traffickers, and violent extremists.
Its mission is to create a safe community for southeast Michigan residents.
Sound the Siren
Last year’s event was very successful with over 200 attendees. This year we were hoping to repeat the event but because of Covid we are moving the event to a virtual platform, January 29, 2021 at 7:00PM
Our plan is to invite attendees for a virtual happy hour that will include members from the Detroit Crime Commission to discuss the ways to break up these organizations along with a survivor telling her story on how she broke free.
