Outdoor Summer Concert Lineup

St. Charles County is the place to be to catch a hot summer concert. From blues and rock to swing and funk to country and jazz, our county has the hottest music acts around. Check out some of the upcoming concerts.

The Venues

Streets of St. Charles
Location: Beale Street, St. Charles
Features: Grab a lawn chair and the family, but leave the coolers at home.

Why you should go:
The family-friendly Beale Street Concert Series will be held the second Wednesday of each month, 6-8 p.m. through October. All bands will play on Beale Street between Picasso’s Coffee and U-Swirl. The outdoor concert is free, and food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Streets of St. Charles restaurants.

J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts

Location: 2300 West Clay, St. Charles
Features: With 1,200 seats, the Lindenwood Theater is the premier theatrical venue in St. Charles County. 

Why you should go:
The facility plays host to national theatrical tours, headline concerts, comedians and magicians. Previous headliners include Jay Leno, Willie Nelson, Amy Grant, Tony Bennett, Kenny Loggins, Postmodern, Jukebox, The Celtic Woman, Liza Minnelli, Penn & Teller, Rick Springfield, Patti LaBelle and the National Tours of Cats, Movin’ Out, Jesus Christ Superstar, Legally Blonde, Shrek, The Addams Family and many more. The 2019-20 touring series will be announced July 12.

Music on Main

Location: 100-200 blocks of North Main St., St. Charles
Features: The family-friendly, outdoor concerts are free.

Why you should go:
Concerts will be held the third Wednesday of the month, 5-7:30 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the outdoor show. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from area restaurants.

Sunset Fridays

Location: Lakeside 370 Park, St. Peters 
Features: The large outdoor pavilion hosts free concerts throughout the summer.

Why you should go:
The concerts feature all different types of music—from swing to country to rock to jazz. Concerts start at 6:30 p.m. every Friday through Aug. 9. No coolers or bottles are allowed, but food and drinks can be ordered at 6 p.m. The concerts may move off-site due to flooding, so check the website before heading out.

The Bands

That 80’s Band

Location: Beale Street, St. Charles

Style of Music: 80s music

Why you should see them: Travel back to a time when leg warmers, jean skirts and blue eye shadow ruled the world. That 80s Band covers all the hits from the 1980s like Love Shack by the B-52s to Footloose by Kenny Loggins to I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston. Check them out for free on July 10 at the Streets of St. Charles.

Jimmy and the Chets

Location: Main Street, Historic St. Charles
Style of Music: Soulful, bluesy classic rock

Why you should see them:
Jimmy and the Chets are known for their on-stage chemistry and their passion for the music they play. Some of their favorite artists include Jimi Hendrix, Cream and the Allman Brothers. Check them out at Music on Main or Salvatore's.

Serapis

Location: Cedar Lake Cellars, Tuner’s
Style of Music: Americana, blues and rock

Why you should see them:
The Americana band has been playing together for more than 35 years and is known for their blues and rock music. Playing everything from Frank Zappa to Van Morrison to Delbert McClinton, the band plays both cover songs and originals written by band members.

St. Charles Municipal Band

Location: Frontier Park, St. Charles
Style of Music: Concert band

Why you should see them:
Bring a picnic dinner and relax to the sounds of the St. Charles Municipal Band on the St. Charles Riverfront, Thursdays nights through August. The free concerts start at 8 p.m.

Jimmy and the Chets

Defiance Roadhouse

Experience an authentic 1942 Roadshow and Radio Broadcast—the songs, dances and laughs America has loved for more than 70 years.
