Spring Branch Tastemakers

Four exciting restaurants you've got to try in the Spring Branch neighborhood.

When it comes to dining out close to home, it is easy to stick to a handful of eateries, but now is the time to invoke some gastronomic adventure and explore these four Spring Branch restaurants. Their delicious menus will be a great addition to any weekly restaurant rotation. 

Feges BBQ 

Feges BBQ's Spring Branch location is family-friendly and has a diverse menu. Yes, tender plates of their famous smoked meats are readily available, but so are fried chicken, BBQ Bowls, and several types of salad. 

Feges BBQ Side Dishes

Low Tide Kitchen & Bar 

What was once a favorite of Finn Hall downtown is now a brick-and-mortar location in Spring Branch featuring Carolina-inspired seafood with dishes appealing to a wide range of diners. 

Low Tide Brunch

The seafood restaurant is one of the few options in Spring Branch serving weekend brunch with dishes including Crab Cake Benedict, Sunrise Breakfast, and Fried Chicken & Pancakes. Low Tide also features an early bird happy hour Monday through Friday. 

Low Tide's Coastal Dining

Guests at Low Tide will feel like they are at a quintessential coastal locale with nautical decor and colors. The restaurant has patio seating and two porch rooms for private dining accommodating up to 16 guests. lowtidekitchenbar.com

Slowpokes 

Slowpokes is a full-service coffee bar with Houston-brewed beers and hand-selected wines. The area favorite also carries treats and eats from local vendors like Michael's Cookie Jar, Sinful Bakery, and Walking Stick Brewing Co.

Slowpokes offers all of the classics (espresso, latte, cappuccino, macchiato, flat white, americano, house brews, and more). The community favorite with four Houston locations also serves unique specialty drinks and seasonal hits. 

Slowpokes' Specials 

Monday through Friday from 4 pm to close, Slowpokes offers Happy Hour specials on beer and wine, flatbreads, meat & cheese boards, and pretzel with dips. The restaurant also features a constantly rotating menu of local beer and delicious wine. imaslowpoke.com

Tacos Doña Lena 

Named one of Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in 2021 and Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S., Tacos Doña Lena has made a name for itself in the short three years the restaurant has been open. 

Tacos Doña Lena’s Birria

The number one seller at the Spring Branch restaurant is its Quesabirria. The dish features three grilled corn tortillas filled with beef birria and mozzarella cheese and is served with a warm cup of delicious consume for dipping along with onions, cilantro, and lime. 

Tacos Doña Lena’s Salsa
