Springing Into Summer

reviving a space for you

It’s that time of year again! Spring cleaning and landscaping with backyard barbeques just around the corner. It’s the perfect time to take a look at your home and create your own oasis using that underused room you've always had big plans for. The space that inevitably became storage for the unused exercise equipment, home of the litter box, and everything else that’s in the way. Move over man cave, this is our space!

The space we recently transformed was very inspiring with its floor to ceiling windows overlooking the backyard and pool. Our goal was to expand the home's living space and create a functional room that would draw the new owner outside to enjoy the entire property year-round. Breaking up the space allowed for a second dining room and entertainment area. Still worried about storage? Adding built-ins and shelving can provide concealed space that’s aesthetically pleasing with display areas for the homey touches.

Bringing in fresh flowers and greenery makes the room more inviting and relaxing. Something as simple as fresh rosemary clipped from the garden or potted ferns will complete the designer look. Redesigning or revising any space can be overwhelming. Finding inspiration from your favorite websites can provide the motivation but where do you go from there?  Designer consultations can be surprisingly affordable and give you piece of mind that you’re on the right track to creating your dream space. 

LADIES NIGHT. Create a space that you can enjoy and reconnect with friends. Lounge pants, wine and takeout is always good for the soul.

QUIET TIME. Start your day off right with a little self-love and quiet time. Maybe a few chapters in the latest book club selection or organizing your day, take the time and do what makes you happy.

DATE NIGHT. Reward yourself with some alone time with the one you love. Candlelit dinner, a movie or midnight swim comes to mind.

AFTERNOON NAP. Even if it’s only 20 minutes, you deserve it! A power nap will help you refresh and recharge, bringing out the best in you for the rest of the day.
