Sam Recupero, Owner of Absolute Floor Design, and Kristin Nick, Founder and principal designer at Tides Change Design, recently joined forces, bringing together their expertise to customers as the new Absolute Floor & Design, located in the heart of Black Rock on Fairfield Ave. The beautifully redesigned showroom is an inviting space for all their clients, who range from young families looking for easy-to-care-for flooring options to interior designers working on high-end, custom residential designs to large-scale commercial projects. "With Kristin on board, we redesigned the showroom to better serve our clientele and we now offer full interior design services. With her residential and commercial design expertise and my construction background, we can now offer comprehensive design services for any project. From flooring and finishes to renovation projects or new build construction, we are excited to provide this new level of customized service to our customers," says Sam.
The new showroom is a thoughtful modern remodel, spotlighting Absolute Floor & Design's complete product offerings, setting them apart from the overwhelming experience often felt at big box retailers. The space is an expertly curated collection that includes beautiful hand-sewn wool rugs perfect for living rooms or stair runners and indoor/outdoor performance rugs that are stylish, easy to clean, and incredibly durable. The collection of luxury vinyl flooring is equally impressive. "They not only give you that gorgeous hardwood look but are also super durable and low-maintenance. They're easy to clean and can handle all the wear and tear from kids and pets." With the addition of Kristin, who is a widely known tastemaker across Fairfield County, the showroom has expanded with window shades, tiles, hardware finishes, lights, wallpapers, and even custom kitchen and bathroom vanities made by the in-house carpentry shop.
