Steakhouse with curb appeal

Serving up delicious favorites one car at a time

During the more than two years that 101 Steak has been serving the people of Vinings, the restaurant has garnered quite a following. Locally owned 101 Steak also boasts a premium wine list with more than 100 varieties by the glass and over 50 reserve wines. The Jordan, Prime and Quilt Cabernets pair well with the steaks. Executive chef Joe Ahn brings together traditional steakhouse food with a bit of Asian flair. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, his eclectic background includes developing dishes from many different cultures, including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Italian and American. Working in his family’s restaurant in Pennsylvania as a waiter, bartender, dishwasher, and host gave him a well-rounded experience and a deep understanding of the restaurant business. Despite its name, 101 Steak does not only serve steak (although their 16 oz. Delmonico and Black Angus beef are always in demand.) Other favorites include the French Onion soup, shrimp cocktail, burgers, the Jalapeno Bacon Corn Brulee, and the crispy Brussels sprouts. There are selections from every food category including salads, fish, chicken, and sandwiches. And, of course, desserts such as their New York Cheesecake and Key Lime Mousse make it hard to wait until the end of the meal. Regardless of circumstances, Chef Ahn and his staff continue to be committed to ensuring that the food their loyal customers love will be available, while also allowing new customers to discover what they’ve been missing. “We are doing curbside pickup,” said Kelly Raines Heath, assistant general manager and beverage director, in March. “We change the menu every day and publish it on social media and on our website.” Like most people and businesses, Kelly and her staff were looking forward to things returning to normal. “You have absolutely no idea how much we appreciate our new and regular guests who have continued to support us in this crisis,” said Kelly. “It means the world to us that people are still willing to support us even though the experience doesn’t look or feel the way it did before.” Since the situation is constantly changing, please check the website 101steakatl.com for any updates, and to order food or gift cards.
