The Liberty Hill Youth League is all about building character through baseball and softball, giving kids ages four to 14 an opportunity to grow, learn, and play with heart.
Jesse Westphal, owner of Texas Window Store, got involved with LHYL in spring 2023. What started as a desire to be there for his son during his rookie season, Westphal stepped up as head coach to fill a gap in leadership.
“As the season went on, I realized how much I enjoyed the energy and camaraderie of the kids, and I saw coaching as a chance to not only support my son, but also help shape a positive environment for the whole team,” says Westphal.
Youth sports are a crash course in teamwork, discipline, and confidence. Through coaching, Westphal has found that creating a safe, structured space for kids to stay active and build friendships truly is an investment in our future. He’s had a front-row seat to how sports shape young athletes into well-rounded people beyond the game.
That’s why this past spring, he continued offering support as an assistant coach and sponsor, while proudly backing the Liberty Hill All Stars 8U. Through Texas Window Store, he helps cover the cost of uniforms, equipment, and team essentials. It’s about more than business; it’s a meaningful way to show kids their community is behind them.
“As a parent, it’s made me more patient and proud,” says Westphal. “As a business owner, it’s reinforced how vital community support is—how much more impactful it is when we’re not just selling a product, but showing up for people. And as a community member, it’s deepened my appreciation for the values Liberty Hill stands for—family, hard work, and looking out for one another.”
