We all adore the charm of downtown Franklin’s buildings and businesses, and of course, the homes and neighborhoods surrounding them. Just a few turns off the square, you’ll find some of the beautiful work done by Steven Shalibo and StoneBridge Homes – homes in Fair Park and
Benelli Park that are recently built but look and feel like they belong right there in downtown Franklin.
Steven Shalibo is the man behind StoneBridge. A native of middle Tennessee, he started out as a new home sales agent in 1995, but he fell in love with building homes more so than selling them after building his own home. By 2015, he had worked his way up to founding StoneBridge
Homes and began building under that name. “I finally found what I loved to do and was able to pursue it. I love building homes, love the artistic ability of it. I’m able to put my own stamp on the homes,” said Steven.
Steven explained that, as we all know, downtown Franklin is a very sought-after part of town. The opportunities to even find home sites are few, so StoneBridge jumped on them. Having lived in the Franklin area for over twenty-five years now, Steven knew exactly what the homes needed
to keep the integrity of the area intact. “I’ve watched it grow and change,” he said, “I’m solely a Franklinite from all aspects of building – from the real estate side to the home building side – I don’t bleed any color other than Franklin!” He knew just the style and aesthetics that the homes
needed to maintain a historic appeal and keep within the building guidelines of the city, resulting in beautiful homes in downtown Franklin that are second to none.
Steven, the current president of the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee, is anything but hands-off. “You might see me on site with a broom in my hand cleaning up houses – whatever it takes,” he said. Most days you can find him out in the truck with his “sidekick,”
Stella – his Australian Shepherd – touring the job sites and checking in on subcontractors to make sure they have everything they need to build spectacular homes. “We’re very loyal to our subcontractor base and have pretty much the same workers in our houses year after year.
Therefore, we’re able to maintain a quality on the higher side,” said Steven.
Currently, StoneBridge Homes is building magnificent homes in Hardeman Springs near Arrington. The houses feature luxurious details while maintaining a farmhouse charm and are set in the beautiful Williamson County countryside while still being conveniently close to the
downtown Franklin community and amenities.
