Travis McVey, the creator of the Stones River Martini. He chose this specific cocktail for a number of reasons one being because he is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Stones River Post 12206. Which is the newest VFW post in Tennessee. This specific VFW is named after the famous Civil War battle that happened at Stones River in Murfreesboro. The Stones River Battlefield is a Historic Park in Murfreesboro to mark that historic event in American history. The color of the cocktail represents the MTSU Blue Raiders.
Ingredients:
Lime Wedge
Coarse Sugar or Granulated Sugar
Ice Cubes
¼ cup White Cranberry Juice Cocktail
1oz Heroes Vodka
1oz Blue Curacao
1 tbsp Fresh Lime Juice
Rocks or Martini Glass
Directions:

Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with lime wedge. Sprinkle sugar onto a small plate and dip moistened rim into the sugar to coat lightly.

Fill the cocktail shaker with ice. Add cranberry juice, vodka, blue curacao, and lime juice; cover and shake. Strain into martini glass.
