Allen High School alum Grace Noh, the recipient of the Kiwanis Club’s inaugural Dr. David Olson Scholarship, impressed the Kiwanians with over 1,000 community-service hours. The Kiwanis Club’s volunteerism focuses on “improving the world by impacting children,” inspiring the scholarship that honors Olson’s contributions as an Allen ISD administrator.
In her interview with the Kiwanians, Noh described volunteerism as “a catalyst for change.” “Volunteering allows me,” she said, “to embrace the cycle of love … one person extends a helping hand and inspires others to do the same.”
At AHS, Noh played orchestral violin and spent four years in the Kiwanis-affiliated Key Club and the Red Cross Eagles, leading both groups as president in her senior year. She will now study sociology at Texas A&M University.
