Subject-specific tutoring to meet each student's needs

The mission at Huntington Learning center is to give each student the best education possible

Huntington Learning Center Broken Arrow has provided supplemental education through private tutoring for students from preschool, K-12, and college prep since 2011. Cindy Snodgrass, Center Director, and her business partner, Mike Lingo owned the Tulsa Huntington since 2014. In 2021, they merged the Tulsa and Broken Arrow Centers together. Services for K-12 are in reading, writing, math, vocabulary, spelling, study skills, phonics, homework help, ACT/SAT, GED, and ASVAB.

Speaking with Cindy it’s evident she and her staff live by the philosophy, every child can learn. “We take each student where they are and get them where they need to be. No student is the same. Our individualized programs are tailored to meet each student’s needs.”

A former reading specialist, and language arts teacher herself, Cindy’s staff of tutors are certified and college-educated, many holding teaching certificates and master’s degrees. “When I was young I knew what it was like to struggle as a student. I was an avid reader, but couldn’t make sense of math and it negatively impacted my entire school career. As a parent, I know what it felt like to have two children who were completely different in how they learned. Our subject-specific tutoring gives the boost students need to keep pace with increasingly challenging subjects.”

“We begin with a comprehensive assessment of students' strengths, goals, and areas they need to improve in all academic areas. Parent expectations, what the student and teachers are saying, personality, and other factors give us a complete picture of how to help. Our mission is to give each student the best education possible.”

“Classwork and homework often become more complex as the school year advances. Services for middle school to college students are in subjects like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, earth sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, Writing, and English. Tutoring sessions are available in-center or online and are flexible to fit each family’s busy schedule.”

Huntington Learning Center Broken Arrow has one-on-one tutoring during the day, after school, and on Saturdays. Closed on Sunday. Students come for homework assistance, after school one or more times a week beginning in grade 6. Highly skilled tutors give students the boost they need to keep pace, improve grades, and stay on track.

Summer learning programs help build the skills, confidence, and motivation students need to succeed. Students engaged in summer learning perform better during the school year. It’s important to be prepared for the competitiveness of college admissions. A strong SAT/ACT score improves a student’s admission profile and impacts scholarship opportunities. Huntington Learning Center has the best SAT and ACT prep programs for students seeking to dramatically increase scores and expound their college options.

“Our 1:1 individualized test prep programs are available either online or in person and designed to meet the student's needs. An initial practice test determines strengths and weaknesses. Multiple practice tests throughout the program measure progress. Our tutors teach both the strategies and skills to get the highest possible test scores.”

The Huntington advantage: Online and in-center, comprehensive evaluation, individualized instruction, test-taking strategies, highly qualified teachers, a flexible schedule, and a convenient location just off the BA Expressway in Broken Arrow.

Huntington Learning Center is accredited by both the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
