How do you serve your local community?

I currently serve as a Trustee for the Bruce Museum as well as on the Town of Greenwich Board of Parks and Recreation and Co-Chair of the Parks and Recreation Foundation. I have a huge passion for non-profits which has developed over the past 25 years serving on and leading nonprofits in Town and was the basis for me founding my consulting company.

What do you love about living in Greenwich?

As a second-generation Greenwich native, I can say that I have seen Greenwich change a lot over the 50 plus years I have lived here, but what hasn't changed is the deep sense of community that makes Greenwich special. How many communities in our country are essentially run by a volunteer government with nearly 30 unpaid boards and commissions? Beyond the RTM, however, our community supports a vast network of charitable and community service organizations focused on all forms of need on a local, national, or even global basis. In addition, we show our children firsthand that giving back to the community does make a difference.

What is your favorite hidden gem in town?

The Greenwich Pool in Byram Park is a really special place. I am proud to have been part of the Junior League of Greenwich team that raised $2.5 million towards the public-private partnership with the Town to build a new outdoor community pool and revitalize Byram Park.

What is your favorite piece of advice or favorite quote?

I believe very deeply in giving back to the community. #GiveWhereYouLive is one of my favorite hashtags. I also encourage others to reflect on the mentors who have influenced and touched your life, and strive to become that figure for someone else. Step up to be a reliable ally when others require assistance. Discover your fervor for a cause, charitable organization, or movement and get involved wholeheartedly.
