Front Porch Sunshine

Add Summer cheer to the front of your home!

Summer is the perfect time to add a little cheer and sunshine to your front porch! It doesn't take much to make a statement and I've got some tips that will make it easy to give your own porch a quick refresh!

Lemons are huge right now and are a great way to add a pop of color that just screams Summer! I combined mine with black, white, and aqua for a fun combination.

Start off by picking a focal point for your door that will really be the star of the show! For me, I used a door hanger and layered it over a wreath. Next, I always recommend the look of layered rugs by the door. Pick something a little bigger for the bottom and a smaller one on top. This will add instant interest and dimension!

I love using my chairs on either side with adorable cushions and pillows on them. You'll have a place to sit and it will look cute too! Of course, flowers are a MUST when you are doing a porch for Summer. I went with yellow flowers in little galvanized pots to tie in with all of my lemons.

Last but not least, an adorable porch board sign is never a bad idea! This completed the look of my Summer front porch makeover and tied it all together.

I always say that it doesn't have to be complicated to be cute, and it really is so true! Decorating is a true passion of mine, and I love that you can make your home a reflection of you and your style by simply making it your own. I hope you've been inspired to give your porch a little refresh this Summer and that you can use these tips to help you along the way.
