Summer Soirées for Mom

Elegant Events That Give Back to Cumberland University

Give Mom a summer to remember—where elegance meets impact. From starlit lawns to ballroom glamour, these stylish events support Cumberland University and offer the perfect way to toast to her under Lebanon's summer skies.

1)  The 41st Annual Phoenix Ball: June 7th , 2025
One of the premier charity events in Tennessee, the Phoenix Ball, is a black-tie gala benefiting
Cumberland University. Attended by hundreds of prominent middle Tennesseans, the Ball has
raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for scholarships for students attending Cumberland.
Kevin and Christine New, the chairs for this year’s event, have been working tirelessly with
members of the Planning Committee since last summer to plan a truly spectacular event. The
theme for this year’s Ball is “Starry Night”.
In keeping with tradition, the evening will begin with a wonderful reception and silent auction
at 5:30 PM. The guests will then move into the Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena at 7:00 PM for the
dinner, program, and live auction. Dancing begins at 9:00 PM and goes until midnight.
Hunt Brothers Pizza is this year’s presenting sponsor and we are extremely grateful for their
outstanding support.
A limited number of tickets ($475 per person) are still available and can be purchased directly
on the Phoenix Ball website (www.phoenixball.com).

2) Symphony on the Lawn – Friday, June 13, 2025
The Cumberland University Community Arts Council (CUCAC) is proud to once again provide
this free community event featuring the Nashville Symphony. For more than 30 years, these
concerts have been a highlight of summer entertainment in Lebanon for the whole family.
Pre-concert activities begin at 5:30 PM and the Symphony begins at 7:30. Bring your picnic
basket, lawn chairs, or blankets and join us on Cumberland University’s Memorial Lawn for an
enjoyable night of music and more. Food trucks will also be available if you prefer to purchase
food on-site.
Additional sponsors for this year’s concert include: Amazon, Wilson Bank & Trust, and the
Lebanon Noon and Breakfast Rotary Clubs.

3) Patron’s Party – Saturday, July 19, 2025
The annual Patron’s Party and the Phoenix Ball events have traditionally gone hand in hand.
While the Phoenix Ball is a very formal event for up to 475 guests, the Patron’s Party is a more
casual and intimate event for 100 – 200 guests. Patron’s Parties have typically been hosted in
homes of the hosts, but this year we are trying something different.
This year’s Patron’s Party will be hosted by Jim and Gina Stradley, at the Lebanon Golf and
Country Club, on July 19, 2025.
Tickets for this year’s event are $175 per person and they are still available for purchase at
www.phoenixball.com/tickets.
