Dr. Allison Winkler's superpower is creating a super easy dental experience. "A dental visit can be nerve-racking for people," says Dr. Winkler. "The last thing I want is for anyone, a child or adult, to have an unpleasant experience. We have a 'no pressure' office, which means we never do anything a patient is not comfortable with. We do not offer any unnecessary procedures. If all we do is take a few x-rays and have a conversation, that is a step in the right direction." Dr. Winkler's goal with every patient is to create long-lasting relationships built on trust. "My patients know that if I recommend something, it is because it's absolutely necessary." Dr. Winkler and her team have created a comfortable feeling of familiarity and friendliness at Kirkwood Family Dental.
Dr. Winkler came to St. Louis via her husband's job. "Once we got here, we didn't want to leave. We discovered that St. Louis is filled with culture, activities, and, as a foodie, I love the unique restaurants. It is very family-oriented, and we have made amazing friends. So, even though we do not have family here, my husband and I decided that this is where we wanted to buy a house and start a family." Dr. Winkler discovered Kirkwood Family Dental through a meeting with Dr. Tate. "Dr. Tate was approaching retirement and was looking for someone to take over his practice. Our styles are very similar; laid back, friendly, family-oriented, and we joke around with everyone." In June of 2018, Dr. Tate passed his legacy on to Dr. Winkler. "I have loved every minute of it. Providing cosmetic improvements that bring confidence to a patient's smile will always make me happy. Building long-lasting relationships with my patients and having them place their trust in me genuinely brings me joy." We are super happy that Dr. Winkler is a part of our community.
