There are numerous animal rescue organizations in the Tulsa area that are mostly volunteer run, non-profit based, and depend on help from the community for fosters and monies to help care for the animals. Animal Rescue Foundation of Tulsa
Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) of Tulsa has been dedicated to saving homeless and unwanted pets in Tulsa and surrounding areas for over 20 years. ARF is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization that is primarily foster-based. They have saved over 480 lives so far this year.

MEADOW
Meadow is a precious, 11.2 lb., chocolate tricolor girl. Her estimated date of birth is January, 2013. This poor little girl was discarded after being a breeder dog. They had pulled all her canines and she has scarring on one eye. She's a little shy but very sweet and so deserving of a forever, calm and loving home to spoil her rotten.

CARE Rescue OK
CARE Rescue, also known as Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts, is a (501(C)(3) non-profit organization determined to give dogs a voice when no one is advocating for their well-being. Placing importance on dogs in risk of euthanasia, living in horrific situations and/or facing abuse, CARE Rescue is resolute in providing for dogs looking for a loving home.

MORK
Mork was named from the TV show Mork and Mindy. He came to the rescue with Mindy who has already been adopted. Mork is only four months old and already crate and house trained. He loves to snuggle and his under-bite is just adorable.

Lakes Area Pet Society
Lakes Area Pet Society is a small, two-person, foster based and donation run rescue in the Tulsa and Grand Lake Area run by Ludie Erickson and Lisa Varshay. The main goal is to help dogs in need until their prefect forever home is found. Lisa also coordinates and drives transport (dogs and cats needing homes) to Wisconsin and has helped more than 400 Oklahoma dogs this year.

CARMINE
Meet Carmine - The Big Ragoo. Carmine was sitting in Tulsa Animal Welfare for five days with unknown health issues before he was pulled by rescue. He had a broken pelvis, was heart worm positive, and had a severe respiratory infection all of which he has been treated for. He is a two year old, 48 pound shorty, full of personality and love. He enjoys snuggles and belly rubs and is looking for his forever family.

Oklahoma German Shepherd Rescue
Oklahoma German Shepherd Rescue (OKGSR) is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization based in Tulsa committed to rescuing German Shepherd Dogs (GSD) and placing them in qualified loving homes. OKGSR is a foster-based rescue that also aims to help connect GSD owners with resources and offer information on training and caring for GSDs.

Bailey was rescued after living life tied to a lawnmower. She had severe back leg weakness, but after rehabilitation, she no longer needs her wheelchair! This eight-year-old sweetheart is ready for a special forever home.

Rescued ‘n Ready Animal Foundation
Rescued ‘n Ready Animal Foundation (RnRAF) is a foster based animal rescue who rescues abandoned and adoptable dogs and cats in the greater Tulsa area. Once fully vetted by a veterinarian, RnRAF strives to place healthy pets in the best suited, forever home to ensure a successful adoption to enrich their lives and the lives of pet owners. RnRAF educates potential adopters and the general public on the importance of adequate pet care and the positive effect of pet sterilization. RnRAF sent us two pups because they couldn't decide and neither could we so we are showing you both!

LOTTA
Lotta is a calm, loving, friendly and affectionate female Staffordshire Terrier mix/couch potato of six years old and 57 lbs. She is great with adults and kids, but will do best as an only dog in the home. She is easy going, great on leash, completely house trained and doesn't need to be crated. She is a star snuggler.

BENJI
Benji is a male senior designer dog mix of 11 years old and 14 lbs, who is ready to find a place to enjoy his golden years. This goofy, cartoon-like dog has lots of personality. He is great with adults and kids ages eight and above. He is house trained if let out every three hours or so, and is crate trained. He is great with other dogs his size or bigger. His favorite thing to do is be with his people, walks, napping and just hanging out. He loves to be outside, patrolling the back yard and running around.
