1. Glacier Ice Cream & Gelato - Riverwalk in Downtown Castle Rock
Stroll around the Downtown & Festival park while enjoying the freshest of flavors. This locally loved shop from owners Tony and Gail are a big part of why this place is so special. Every batch of their ice cream and gelato is hand-mixed with the best ingredients they can find, with an emphasis on the awesome local ingredients found in our community.
2. Rock House Ice Cream and more- Palmer Lake
Located in the heart of Palmer Lake we are a great place to stop, relax, have lunch and, of course, enjoy ice cream. Rock House Ice Cream is a small business dedicated to helping locals, and tourists alike, wind down and delight in the wonders of the Front Range.
3. Sweet Cooie's Ice Cream Shop - Denver
Sweet Cooie’s Ice Cream and Chocolates is a classically inspired confectionery, true to who the owner Paul Tamburello mother was. This place is a special place where you feel like ice cream really does make everything better.
4. HIPPOPS Food Truck - ALL OVER COLORADO
Producing artisan frozen desserts all over town has us stopped in our tracks. The uniqueness of HipPOPs lies within its fun and interactive three-step process. Start by choosing one of 16 flavors. Continue by picking a signature Belgian chocolate dip: white, milk or semi-sweet in a full dip, half dip or drizzle. Finish the creation with a exceptional topping such as caramelized hazelnuts, crushed almonds, or Oreo crumbles. Imagine the possibilities.
5. Bonnie Brae Ice Cream Shop - Washington Park
Many a native or hyper local would shake their head if you didn't know about this establishment that has been making ice cream since 1986. It's not uncommon to see lines around the block from everyone in formal wear to a runner headed back from Washington Park. Do not drive past it again without stopping. You won't regret it.
6. Sugar Spoon Candies - Downtown Castle Rock
We have a special place in our heart for this local treasure. Locals are drawn into Sugar Spoon by the assortment of homemade chocolates, vintage sweets, and $1 a scoop ice-cream. The space overflows with delicious smells and buckets of goodies in every shade of the rainbow. Owner Allen coined the term “subliminal comfort” to describe the indulgent sensory overload people experience when walking into the store.
