Hello Temecula Readers,
This is your local Dream Vacations travel agent,
No matter your age, spring break always sounds like a good idea -- because it is!
Who doesn’t want to have a spring pep back in their step? Who wouldn’t benefit from a nice break? But who has the time?
I heard a story recently about two men who chopped wood every day, both starting and ending exactly at the same time. The second man would take an hour in the middle of the day and would manage to produce more wood than the first man. One day, the first man had asked the second man how he managed to cut more wood when they both started
and ended at the same time and yet would take an hour-long break in the middle of every day. The second man responded with saying he spent that hour sharpening his ax.
I love this story because it reminds me that we all benefit when we take some mini breaks in between all of our life’s happenings and responsibilities. Life can feel like a never-ending to-do list, but when we pause to refresh, we set ourselves up to succeed.
Spring break isn’t just for college students flocking to Mexico for beachside activities. Instead, it’s a time of transition—a chance to shift from the slower pace of winter to a refreshed and energized spring. Just like returning to the gym after a long break, it’s important to ease into new routines. Whether you’re 25 or 55, a spring break can prepare you for the next season, helping you sharpen your ax, so to speak.
Whether you decide an overnight trip to Disneyland, a weekend spa getaway, a 7-night cruise, or a few days hiking near a national forest will do the trick, I encourage you to take some time for yourself. Use this opportunity to recharge and prepare for the exciting ventures that await.
Even the smallest getaway can make a big difference. A single day of rest can help you feel recharged and ready to take on life’s adventures.
Taking time for yourself isn’t selfish; it’s essential. When you return from your spring break, you’ll be ready to embrace life’s opportunities and challenges with a clear mind and renewed focus. Whether it’s a few days of fun in the sun or quiet moments of rest, this intentional break is an investment in yourself.
Don’t let spring break you, let spring make you.
